Volunteer

This ride could not happen without the generous support from our community. Our ride uses many volunteers before, during, and after. It’s a chance to be part of a global, unforgettable event that celebrates confidence, community, and the joy of biking in the most liberating way possible!

There are many roles to choose from, including Corkers (people who help direct the bike traffic), Medics, clean-up crews at the launch and end-point locations, Merch Sales and Donations, and more! The dress code for volunteers during the ride is “as bare as you dare”, just like it is for participants.

Important communications about volunteering will come via email; please check your inbox regularly!

Requirements to volunteer:

Age 18+.
Sign a waiver.
Some roles require attendance of one virtual meeting ahead of the ride.
If your role is for the day of the ride, you will need to download the app Zello for communication purposes.

As a leader, you’ll help with planning, logistics, safety coordination, and community outreach, ensuring a smooth and successful ride. It’s a chance to build leadership skills, connect with like-minded advocates, and make a lasting impact in our community. Everyone is welcome to apply! Current leadership team members may also anonymously apply as well, to help ensure that PDXWNBR will always be helmed by a variety of people with passion and dedication.

Applications are closed for the 2026 Leadership Team. The deadline for applying was end-of-day Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Applications for 2027 will be available in early Fall 2026.
