The Portland Art Museum will open its doors at 8pm for riders. Admission for the museum is $1 per piece of clothing. Ride leaves at 10pm from the South Park Blocks and is free to join.
PLEASE BRING A FEW DOLLARS TO SUPPORT THE RIDE
Each year a hardy bunch of volunteers (including you?) put on this spectacular event. However the World Nake Bike Ride is not without its costs. Between permits and port-a-potties and garbage and the sundries of a large event it costs about $4000 to pull of the WNBR. Please bring a few dollars with you to put into the donation cans. Volunteers will be circulating through the crowd at the ride start asking for your donation. While we do have a few keysponsors and of course this year the Portland Art Museum is helping us out with a few things, your support is critical to meeting our funding goals for the event and assuring we are fiscally stable so we can do it all again next year! Thank you!
The World Naked Bike Ride is an annual, worldwide bike ride that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport. It’s also a lot of fun and it’s free for all! Portland has the world’s largest ride and we are looking to break the record for the world’s largest naked ride again in 2013!
